Bukit Batok GROs organized the “Pongal Celebration 2011” on 16thJanuary 2011 at Bukit Batok West Ave 8. There were Tamil traditional food, various dances and music performances . It was a day of fun and laughter. Many of the guests even donned the Tamil traditional dress for this occasion. Several trees were also planted to celebrate this event.
Pongal is a Tamil festival to celebrate a bountiful harvest, which spans over 4 days.
Bukit Batok GROs organized “Countdown Dinner 2011” on 31st December 2010 at Bukit Batok Community Club. It was a night of celebration and thanksgiving while ushering in the New Year.

Bukit Batok’s Integration and Naturalisation Champion (INC) Committee and Bukit Batok Grassroots Organisations (GROs) jointly organized the “Bukit Batok Water Festival 2010” on Sunday, 18 April 2010 at the open area next to Block 224 Bukit Batok Central. The event started from 2:00 pm and ended at 6 pm.
The event attracted more than 3,000 residents with a good mix of participants from Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Bangladesh and China.
